!! ALERT !! AB 463 To be heard in Senate Trans June 12th 1:30 PM

The Senate Transportation Committee will hear the CDR sponsored Bill AB 463, Huffman, Disabled Parking. Here is the link to the Bill Language and the Analysis. As of this writing, there is no recorded opposition -but that may change before Tuesday. Please write [FAX] the committee members and ask for a yes vote on AB 463.

If your print feature lets you select print page one only.

Place page one back into your printer paper feed, and print page two.

If your printer feature only prints both pages [no selection] then print both, place page two on top of page one and insert into your printer paper feed - print again. You should have two brochures ready for folding.

Some are having trouble getting the brochure to open. You may need to download the template from Microsoft Office Templates first. Here is a link to the "level design" brochure template:

After downloading and saving the template to your computer, then click the campaign design again....it should open for you.

Big Doings in Sacramento!

Will you be here in May for the all the activities and advocacy?

First - on Monday evening May 21st - Susan and Ed Chandler will be hosting a get together at the patio of the Hostel at 925 H St. This is a potluck - come bring and share - or just come! around six or so until....

Then - Tuesday is the Quarterly State Council of the Delegates of CDR.
9 AM to 5 PM CDR members may request time to address the council [as time permits].

THEN! later that night - Tuesday evening at 6:30 to 9:30 pm...the FIRST meeting of the statewide taskforce on Parking Placard Use and Abuse. CoChaired by CDR members Betty Bacon, Arnie Pike and Joe Partansky. Comment to the task force at :

THEN.....[drum roll please] Disability Capitol Action Day! Click on the title of this post to go to the DCAD page for more detailed information.

Start Wednesday with visit to the resource fair at the Sacramento Convention Center...come to the CDR table and purchase a CDR Blue Shirt for the spirit and unity! Reduced prices for this event, and free with a new member registration [regular or family]. CDR mugs also available!

Then...the Educational Forum also at the convention center....and followed by the march and rally to the Capitol Steps. The Road to Freedom Bus will be there as well as speakers from the advocacy community and our legislature. You are encouraged to follow with visits to you legislators. Information packets will be available.
